Joe
My brother-in-law Joe died this past Monday, June 28th, due to complications from heatstroke. He did have a terminal illness, but we had hoped he would be with us longer. His death has been hard. My post this week is in honor of the man I knew and loved. Joe, I don't know if you can see this, but you rock! Joe was a compassionate human being. You might not have expected that when you first met him, particularly if you heard one of his sarcastic critiques of a human he didn’t like. But once you got to know him - you’d come to know that much of that sarcasm came from a place of pain. Joe suffered a lot of trauma in his life. I am not going to share details here because it isn’t my place to do so. But suffice to say, he had some deep, personal shit he was wading through.
